REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Since 1990, Intelligent Lighting Controls, Inc has been instrumental in developing and manufacturing quality lighting control solutions for commercial, educational, retail and municipal facilities nationwide.  An established Minneapolis based leader in the growing lighting controls industry, we are seeking to fill a Regional Sales Position.
Responsibility:  Increase lighting controls sales business in your territory.

    > Follow through and negotiate quoted projects to close orders

    >Increase Intelligent Lighting Controls basis of design specifications

    >Provide product presentations and build relationships with engineering firms, electrical contractors, electrical distributors and other accounts that directly influence buying decisions in your territory.

    >Provide account management (pricing strategy, conflict resolution, customer relations, etc)

    >Identify and promote best practices across the region

    >Manage Rep Sales force to assist in all above activities

    >Involves frequent travel in continental USA


Base salary plus commission with full benefits

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree; superior customer service skills; analytical; excellent communication skills; organization and computer skills; strong work ethic; flexibility; ability to prioritize multiple tasks; strong professional presence; team player; passion for selling and writing orders. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

 

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

Assemble or fabricate mechanical part, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.

    >Background in Controls experience would be beneficial

    >Basic understanding of AC and DC current

    >Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

    >Utilize hand held tools such as a hand-held screw gun and drill

    >Performing soldering, which is the process in which two or more metal (solder) into the joint

    >Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards

    >Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specifications changes

    >Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

    >Maintain a clean and safe work area

Preferred Qualifications:

    >High School Diploma or GED

    >1 – 2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required

    >Basic reading skills.  Must be able to follow directions

    >Basic computer navigation and utilization skills

    >Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

    >High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

Physical Demands and Abilities:

    >Regularly lift 30 – 50 pounds

    >Regularly perform repetitive tasks

    >Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately

 

SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK

The shipping and receiving clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    >Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies

    >Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods

    >Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base

    >Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier

    >Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times

    >Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

Qualification Requirements

    >High School Diploma or GED

    >Basic reading skills.  Must be able to follow directions

    >Basic computer navigation and utilization skills

    >Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

    >High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

STARTUP TECHNICIAN

The primary focus of the start-up technician position is to travel to the customer sites and provide the technical knowledge to properly program, commission, troubleshoot the complete ILC product line.  This position will involve extensive travel at times. Ideally, this position will travel two weeks out the month, and the other two will be spent in the ILC office working.

Primary job responsibilities are:

    >Programming the lighting control systems to the engineers’ specifications

    >Test all of the system components for the proper function

    >Provide complete training to the owners, contractors, owner representative, end users

    >Technical support to ILC customers on the entire product line

    >Complete all job-related paperwork promptly

    >Ability to help out in other areas of the company as needed, when not traveling

Desired Qualifications:

    >Experience in architectural lighting

    >A strong background in electronics and logic programming

    >Ability to read construction drawings and prints

    >Proficient with the MS Office Suite,  Auto CAD, and Bluebeam Quoting Software

    >Ability to present training to small and large groups

    >Credit sufficient for travel, Ideally $5000.00 available

  The technician reports to the ILC Start-up Project Manager. Typical working hours in the office will be 8-5 Monday through Friday. When traveling your hours will be what the customer or contractor require to get the project completed. There will be the occasional weekend required.
